Hello, got interested in your scripts and repo and decided to install the distro in my VirtualBox.

But to no avail :(

I've chosen the latest Butterknife (Trixie · v0.2.2), selected the preconfigured Openbox (Butterbian), but in the process of installation, I guess when your scripts began to unfold, fonts installed etc. it all stopped at 88%. And that's it. Couldn't do anything.

Couldn't reproduce this on a real machine, so it looks like something VirtualBox-specific.

A few things that would help me track it down:

Which version of VirtualBox you're using, and on what host (Windows / macOS / Linux)
The VM's network setting (NAT / bridged / host-only)
When it stalls at 88%, press Ctrl+Alt+F2 to get to another login screen, log in as the user you created, then run:

sudo tail -n 50 /var/log/apt/term.log and paste the output. That log should show which step it actually got stuck on.

Also, v0.2.3 just went out — worth grabbing that one if you haven't, so we're on the latest.

I don't use virtualbox as I've personally never found it a good virtualization app. I've run this on a Proxmox server w/o issue. When asking for assistance, a good general tip is provide basic info on your setup. I.e. what's the host OS, version. What version of Virtualbox, GPU, etc.. makes it easier to provide assistance. Drew tests his projects on bare metal, not in VMs.

Host: Arch Linux, VirtualBox 7.0.20 (I also have another Arch install with version 7.2.8, it doesn't matter much as other Linux distros can be installed without problems on my machine in VMs: Debian, Arch and Void).

Network is the default: NAT

I can't. Simply because the system is not installed, it's still in the process (Live ISO in a VM). And it doesn't react to any key press.

Today I downloaded your latest Butterknife version 0.2.4 and tried again to no avail.

I give up, sorry. Just wanted to give it a go and couldn't. Simply don't have the time to test it. You are free to close the issue if you can't reproduce it yourself.

Interesting. That is simply a stop in the middle of nerd font installation. I am going to close it, but I will look into streamlining the number and version of the font that is being installed.
